A note on the pay-what-you-can philosophy

It is very important to Monica that her offerings are accessible to all, regardless of financial means. Therefore all of her drop-in classes have flexible pricing from $0-25. She has taken this approach since the beginning of her teaching career and has found that it brings out the best in humanity. Those who can afford to pay, do so with the heart of generosity. Those who need financial assistance are able to attend without financial strain.

This philosophy encompasses the practice of creating a space where yoga and meditation are open to all. Your participation in this process encourages the evolution of a more equal and just society.

If you need to reserve your finances for other necessities, email Monica for  a more affordable payment option before registering.

Cancellation policy for in-person classes

Space is limited to 10 people so each spot is precious. Barring extraneous circumstances, if you register and don’t show within 24 hours of the class, there will be no refunds.

Poetry, pillows, yoga belts, blankets, oh my... This class is certainly just for you. Take time to reconnect in breath and body while time and space pause for a deep reset. Some mildly active movement will warm the body and clear your head, preparing for gentle and restore poses. Perfect for managing stress, mood fluctuations, life changes, and recovery from injury or just because you like it!
All levels welcome

With this being a new class, it will start where it is. Arrive as you are and together we'll allow it to evolve. New classes need time to develop in the beginning just as individual practice does so it makes sense to let that process happen instead of trying to stuff it neatly into a marketable package. We will share in the unfurling together.  All levels welcome
Participant testimonial: "After almost three years of pandemic shutdown, I attended my first in-person yoga class today. It was so wonderful to have Monica's careful instruction in a warm, clean, bright, quiet room in Bethany Church. After class, I felt as if I was a desert flower that had just received a long-awaited, much-needed rain shower. I would encourage anyone who is craving a lovely, in-person yoga experience to try Monica's Thursday noon-time class." ~ N.S.

Testimonials...

"Your class has been such wonderful medicine! " ~ D.D.

"Thank you for working with us in offering participants exposure to different types of movement. We received feedback from participants that this was beneficial. Participants enjoyed the Yoga class that you offered because you did not shy away from getting them moving even with the multiple abilities in the class. They also enjoyed the relaxation it offered! (Me too.)" ~ From a yoga demonstration for differently-abled individuals through Central Vermont Medical Center

"Monica's Core & Upper Body Fusion class is a wonderful mix of a strengthening workout and relaxing yoga. I always leave the class feeling amazing and walk away with new knowledge about how the body functions and moves. Monica is an excellent teacher and I look forward to her class every week." ~J.O.

"I love that we don't know what to expect each week. It helps me stay focused and increases the challenge when new poses are introduced. I also enjoy the fact your class feels like a no judgement zone. Accommodations to poses are given as the norm and more advanced poses are suggested within your practice." ~ K.B.

"You are a dedicated and involved instructor and a treasure of a teacher and person. Bursting with info you want to share with your students; we enjoy your enthusiasm and the way you adjust our postures. That's why you have such a strong following, you have a sense of humor and are engaging." ~ J.S.

"I found that listening your instruction and contemplations, then with the postures, shifting to breath, energy and what flows lead me to adjust and simply experience-- with less anticipation about what's coming next, or whether there will be a sense of strain that sometimes occurs for me doing yoga." ~ P.W.

"On a personal note, I just want to tell you how much I have appreciated your teachings over the years. You are a true person and I know you deeply care about all of us. Your soft voice and loving spirits helps sooth the rattled mind and body. I thank you for guiding on my journey and being a glow leading the way. Your work is appreciated." ~ C.G.

Treading along in this dreamlike, illusory realm,
Without looking for the traces I may have left;
A cuckoo’s song beckons me to return home,
Hearing this, I tilt my head to see
Who has told me to turn back;
But do not ask me where I am going,
As I travel in this limitless world,
Where every step I take is my home.
